Cruel Dream Breaker. Poem by PHIL WINTER

Cruel Dream Breaker.

Rating: 4.3

You shattered my mind,
Dream breaker!
When you moved the hands
That held me close
To your heart.
I was torn!
I felt the pain
Piercing through every vein!
I knelt and kissed the dust!
I sifted sand
And tried to trap the wind
Within my hand!
In my state of madness
I could not tell
Spring from summer
Nor heaven from hell!
I sat and grieved
Upon the ground,
The rains poured down
And drenched me to the bone.
