Cruelty.... Poem by Sanjib Saha

Cruelty....

Cruelty...

A life lies battered,
yet remains unchanged,
even when stripped bare.
A leaf falls at its feet,
and the scent of earth
is born with a touch.

The world floats away, untainted.

A person stands beside one who cannot see,
Yearning to take them along.
Another speaks with cruel intent.
