Crying Rain Poem by Kathrin Peters

Crying Rain

Her face is wet
is it rain?
there's so much rain
falling from heaven
she's standing on the platform
and she hears someone cry
she doesn't know why he cries
she hears the train
it's just to far away
she's thinking of her child
this little beautiful child in her arms
and now it's gone
her father has taken it
he said you're just to young
and now her child is gone
her boyfriend hugs her
and whispers in her ear:
'If we die, we will die together.
Then our love will be immortal forever.'
There comes the train
and the rain
washes away their life
and their pain
