Dance Poem by Eugénio de Andrade

Dance

They are lithesome, full of grace.
Ferocious, too,
like a bunch of burning rooftop cats.

They are young and they are dancing - as beautiful
as dunes, wheat, mustangs.

Translation: 2003, Alexis Levitin
