Dance Of The White Sky Poem by A. David Abraham

Dance Of The White Sky

White birds in a white sky
Swirling in the freedom of exuberance unreined
Amidst the cold blank low quiet stillness
of a resolute unknown March morning
Glossingly untroubled, indefatigable

Living their lives in their elegant swoops
Visions of heavenly glory
In a white on white dance in the sky

A momentary lull of
Divinely inspired bright life
In the grim mid-March overcast
of dense laid white clouds

Nature's mirror of a
dimly muted carpet in white
with graceful wings overlaid

A resonance to greater things
Stirrings within the heart
Of things everlasting

Of dreams and romance in beauty
Of poignancy in sharp-gored, keenly felt pain
Of moroseness and life within
Of purity of perfection and beauty
Of life everlasting
Life eternal
in white birds swirling on white sky
