Dance & Play Poem by Reanna Thornton

Dance & Play

Sex is the sensual dance of the senses
Not just the carnal rush of lust.
It is meant to be experienced with all senses,
The delicate dance of pleasure.

How much more intriguing is it
When sight comes into play?
To allow the eyes to caress a person
In a crowded room.
To allow the eyes to undress and savor
The human body in a public place.

How much more sensuous is it
When hearing comes into play?
To allow the ears to hear soft whispers
That set the skin ablaze,
To hear the moans and sighs of passion
Unleashed and unbridled.

How much more enticing is it
When scent comes into play?
To allow the nose to inhale that murderous scent
That sets fire to parts forbidden,
To inhale that sweet musky scent of lust
Unraveled and unadulterated.

How much more intoxicating is it
When taste comes into play?
To allow the tongue to taste that sweet sweat
That is the result of primal urge
To trail the tongue along the scorching flesh
Of desire.

How much more mesmerizing is it
When touch comes into play?
To allow the fingers to seduce a person
With molten desire while fully clothed,
To feel the brush of skin
That ignites a blaze of fire to sacred ground.

Oh, how much more ravishing is it
When the senses come to play?
