Dancin' Man Poem by Charles Eastland

Dancin' Man

DANCIN' MAN

Man! You can dance
like a white flame
through female minds
stirring dormant hot fluid
in damp thighs' fantasies
since the age of shame
now uncaged women dance
and feel your primal drum

Dancin' Man
You design escape

feed heaving breasts
no satyr taunts as well
with purging ritual marrow
as you dance out of your tux
and reveal twine of hunter's thigh
three hundred imaginations tug
to unstring the blinking leaf

Now you've got them
anoint their longings
tips of outstretched hands
with forbidden skin steam
laughing ladies let fly
unchained in the world
woman, lay your money down
free this primal strut

All expectations at their limit
Man you dance one step beyond…
