Dark Angel. (2006) Poem by Danie Babcock

Dark Angel. (2006)

Its lays on Its bed, On a cold dark night,
Knowing when your there, Your not in its sight,
Its sleeps on its bed, Shuffling every single minute,
Only having bad dreams, With only you in it,

Its squints Its eyes shut, And tries to fall asleep,
Ignoring your footsteps, Down the hall where they creep,
It Lays Silent, With pillows covering each ear,
Trying to block you away, breaking its horrifying fear,

Its throws the blanket over itself, And forms into a ball,
Following a dark shadow in the door way, there's a figure at stall,
Tearing the blanket off its head, One look... nothing was there,
Only a shadow with wings, A figure it couldn't bare,

the angel walks away slowly, Leading to an old rusty tomb,
Its follow it softly, No clue... Its life's doomed soon,
The darkness fades into a blinding white light,
Its closes its eyes quickly, Too bright to take sight,
It falls to the ground... No where to look,
there stands the dark angel, And the soul it had took.
