Dark Moon Poem by Nicolette Gonzalez

Dark Moon

Rating: 5.0

Born in the dark of the moon,
Child of darkness and fear,
Abandoned by your mother,
Hated by your father,
Because you were born at the darkest hour.

Fear the full moon,
Fear the mobs with torches and pitchforks,
Love he forest given to you,
Love the freedom of the night,
Fear and love the full moon.

With my curse you won’t know happiness,
For you are my child born at midnight,
Born under a dark moon,
Gift of curse,
Life or death,
Make your choice,
For the reaper is waiting.

Child bitten by wolf,
Cursed unwontedly,
Follow no one but yourself,
This is the path I have chosen for you,
For you are my child,
My child born of darkness,
Born under the dark moon.
