Darkectomy Poem by Skylark Woodrow

Darkectomy

Hello Darkness my old friend,
Looks like you've come to visit me again.
You come in and make yourself at home
But you're not welcome here;
Leave me alone!

Go on,
Get out!
I'm tired of your baggage,
I'm tired of your pain,
I'm tired of this hell you've made.
Day in and day out it's the same old thing;
I'm tired of it you hear!
I can't take it anymore.
I'm making a change.
You're not merely being demoted,
You're not simply shifting to a different corner,
You're going out!

I want you gone!
Take with you all your poisons,
And every last bit of your disease;
There's no room for you here,
I'm removing you from me.
