Darkside Lullaby Poem by Reverend Jarrod Plantagenet-Capet

Darkside Lullaby

The look of your familiar face
The touch of your warm embrace
This is a sign of the time
Your skin's pressed against mine
Love is quickly setting in
A wish for what could have been
The full moon's light strikes your eyes
As you sing your darkside lullaby

And apart we drift
Apart we drift
No levity to gift
Our love a lift
And apart we drift
Apart we drift

Let's try this one more time
I am yours and you are mine
I will bite my silver tongue
If truth's the only song that's sung
In key strereophonically
Dolby high fidelity
A blood-stained satellite on high
I sing my darkside lullaby

And apart we drift
Apart we drift
No spark to start
Our love a'lit
And apart we drift
Apart we drift

Do you remember
That crisp November
Our paths intertwined
Criss-crossed and combined
How did things end up this way
This comes to me at my dismay
This requiem for you and I
Is our darkside lullaby

And apart we drift
Apart we drift
Our ever-widened rift
That split us
Apart we drift
Far apart we drift

Darkside Lullaby
