Darlings Poem by Ryan Nieves

Darlings

'Don't act so shy,
You won't feel a thing,
Darling.'
That's what one love,
Always said to me,

'Never felt,
So disgusted before you,
Darling.'
That's what one other love,
Said to me,
To either one,
I still cried,

'Don't you want,
To give me a bit of joy,
Darling? '

That question,
Popped up every time,
I didn't want to please him,

'You say it hurts,
But I have been through worse,
Darling.'
Count to ten,
Won't happen again,
Love is sacrifice,

'Darling, Darling, '
That was what he called me,
'Darling, Darling, '
I was too blind to see,
'Darling, Darling, '
All my heart, soul and mind,
'Darling, Darling, '
Belonged to him with time,

'Don't you want,
To see what it is like,
Darling? '

That question,
Popped up every time,
We got a little too close,

'He won't know,
I'm aware that you want me,
Darling.'

She gave me a kiss,
And I gave in,
But it was kind of justified,

'Darling, Darling, '
That was what she called me,
'Darling, Darling, '
And we became a thing,
'Darling, Darling, '
Still it wasn't enough,
'Darling, Darling, '
Kept chasing after lust,

So right,
Like she was made for this,
So wrong,
That I was still tied to his wrist,

Couldn't leave,
Couldn't see,
What they did to me,
Sugar and spice,
With a dash of nicotine,

Jump in,
For a night,
Full of loving,
For a night,
Where the words,
They say,
All mean nothing,

So my darlings,
Take all you want,
But don't leave me tonight.
