Darwinian Fools Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Darwinian Fools

Look around watch people run
Milling about like flies
The work of Heaven’s nearly done
Now let the world be wise

Warring and fighting’s everywhere
At home or foreign shore
Everyone’s seeking a bigger share
Even against the law

No one appears to even care
No one show any love
Only a few from here and there
Seek guidance from above

The Word of God is all too rare
Not oddly people stray
Politically now no one dare
Say Christ’s The only Way

The Bible’s seen out of vogue now
A cliché’ meant for fools
Only a few their knees may bow
To Heaven’s golden rules

There’s more and more debauchery
Each day have more transgressed
Countless now find the mortuary
Is just the place to rest?

As less and less seek God on high
The more we see decay
The whole wide world believes the lie
As Darwin’s books portraits

Now full of fools the world’s gone mad
Though no one wonders why
Like dithering fools fraught and sad
Her foolish children die
