Day And Night Poem by Bo Edward Lawrence

Day And Night

Rating: 5.0

Sssshivers
Run down my spinal cord swiftly, but slow
People, pretending, pass me by each day
brushing shoulders carelessly
with bodies of emptiness and vacant motives
no soul, no heart, and no mind, no love but hate?
Without love there would be no hate
this is the balance of nature
Hatred can only prosper, if love has already blossomed.
There...
In my chest lays no dark shadows
maybe it’s my heart painted shades of bright yellow
in the darkest mist of night
this world blackens, each day
and while the sun ceases to rise.
Terrified, of the stygian earth...
I become the street lights
