Daybreak written For My Husband When He Lost His Best Friend

Day Break

Some may call it dying,
The ending of a life,
The pain and hurt that follows,
For the children, friends and wife.

The light that shone inside his heart,
Isn't needed any longer,
The eternal night is over now,
The dawns light is so much stronger.

All the things we should have said and done,
They have little consequence,
For the memories, he will take with him,
Regardless of past tense.

The old times were the good times,
And he will remember them as you do,
The happy and the sad times,
When it was only Him and You.

His time for stepping out has come,
Like a hand that leaves a glove,
To take the hand of another,
In the sunshine up above.

We know that friends can never owe!
They Do because they want to Do,
And one day when its daybreak
He will be waiting there for you.
