Daydream Poem by Mary Champion

Daydream

Walking here, amidst the trees
I always feel the tension ease.
The air is cooler here - serene -
my soul suffused with calming green.

I always feel the tension ease
when walking through the woodland trees
delighting in their mystic peace.

The air is cooler here - serene.
The bird song and the tinkling stream -
play soundtracks to my daytime dream.

My soul suffused with calming green,
each breath I take is fresh and clean.
Is this what Eden might have been?
