Daylight Poem by Chris Townsend

Daylight

Rating: 5.0

Righteous living time to settle down,
I know I like to laugh but time to stop acting the clown,
I love I live I act in my own way,
My home walls rebuilt and here I stay,
I lived my life against the tide,
Until I realized in no place this carcass to hide,
I look to horizons new establishments to find,
A single moment nothing now my thoughts to remind,
If I keep running I will soon tire to die,
Within my own security, my freedom to fly,
In my children I see a mirror my own life to see,
Within this digression I shall not confide, dirty little me…
