Days Of Your Power Poem by Charles Karia

Days Of Your Power

You wereking still from of old,
Before any of us came to be,
No one voted you to the throne,
You had it long before we were,
Before a mortal had appeared.

You will be in the throne long,
After no man is still standing,
You will judge earth's princes,
All their wives of influence,
And their entitled offspring.

The unpleasant peasant witch,
Who casts nets to nail souls,
The presidents and governors,
Who joined the infernal cult.
Will have their day in your court.

In your lofty blessed throne,
Those prophets real and false,
All who spoke in your name,
Will account for every word,
And extravagant proclamations.

Glory will return where it was,
Before man mortal hijacked it,
And learnt to play and dabble,
In what has always belonged,
To the glorious king of kings
