Days That Should Come Poem by Nicole Henson

Days That Should Come

these days they come

these days they go

and with each passing day come death,

life, faith, religion, passion, hatred, independence, survival, love, and emotions.

and as these days wake and sleep

we become more and more reliable on digital designs and creations

we use them to feed us, entertain us, clothe us

but we do not need such ways to help us, we don’t need them to survive

living among each other as family not foe is what it should be

respecting our enemies like friends

and living with nature at peace

we do not need to destroy our home to live

live in gods name

live in serenity not hatred and of abhorred presences

live like you care about you and others

life is worth while when you make it that way

our kind should go back to the days of living as a community

of having friends as neighbors and kids that don’t want the 'next best thing'

we need to live like our past

we need to love life and live it fully not electronically
