Dead Inside Poem by Tammy Mitchlmore

Dead Inside

My grave is dug
My heart is dead
Just shoot me now
Put me out of my troubles
Let me finally be at peace
Let me see her smiling face once more
I want to smile the way I did before
Before she went away
I get that god needed an angel
But why did he have to take her
He left behind two very different girls
He left broken hearts and tear filled eyes
Widowed father
A loving mother gone to ash
A father left in tears
Two daughters so different
One moves on
But the other hangs on by a thread
One never loses hope
The other gone
My grave is dug
My heart is dead
Just shoot me now
I do not want to live
