Dead Sparrow Poem by Bill Grace

Dead Sparrow

Like Cleopatra among her cats I sit
Waiting for the Time-Warner Man
My lifelong friend - a brother figure for sure - tells me
The dead sparrow on the front porch,
Tells - the killer cat likes me.
Sometimes I cannot help but wish
I was less popular.
