Can you hear us up there
The sobs so excruciating, you can't possibly bear
There should be a limit to grief
You were taken, as if by a thief
Out of arms reach
Up in the sky, an endless waterless beach
You don't even know how much we miss
Everyday dark and deep, an abyss
With each tear I cry
I can't do anything but weep, but I try
Because if these tears could build a staircase
I'd march up right up to heaven, and bring
Back the one thing no one could ever replace
Dear Claire.
