Death And Texas Poem by Jan Sand

Death And Texas

Solutions solve, dissolve definitives,
Transform solids into smoke
That spreads and disperses to leave behind
A scent of what has been.

But solutions demand a mind in hand -
Pervasive intervention to dissect intention,
Lay out in a clean display where and how
Pointed factors act and what they mean
And how they may
Be confronted and disposed.

Death is no solution.
The knot of Gordian must be analyzed
To disentangle how it was devised.
A sword violates integrities of time and space,
Shatters all that really matters
And leaves mind and morality in disgrace.
