Death Is But A Toll Of The Bell Poem by Izobelle Pulgo

Death Is But A Toll Of The Bell

Rating: 2.2

Death is but a toll of the bell
Ringing for the owner to come back home
And the owner
Who had secretly escaped into a dimension
Called life
Would slowly wither
As he hears his mother bell calling
People’s tears would rain
People his life had touched
So he will leave
To the people, for a world unknown
Darkness enveloping
Death’s covered veil.
Anguished cries of people
Bade farewell to the departed,
And the dead will awake
From a slumber of infinity,
To find out that he has not returned home.

Instead had sailed into the realm
Of no return.
And all is forgotten.
The bell will toll again
Waiting for her lost son
Yet to return.
But never to arrive
For the bell
Is death itself.
