Death Penalty Poem by Abby Rose

Death Penalty

Death srrounds me
While i struggle to just breath

There is no way to leave
This place is dark

The undead
Walking in my shadow

Sneaking by
While i lay here and die

How can life just slip away
When you just want another day

This Death penalty takes my breath away
While you pray for a day you can fly away

Why take a life
When you cant even look them in the eye

Why do you say this is alright
When you cant look me in the eye

You know this is wrong
So dont make the call

You could live your life free
But now you as gulity as me

Haunted by the nightmare
Haunted by me.
