Decadence Poem by Nathaniel Graves

Decadence

Rating: 4.5

For you;
Of you;
You:

~

Adamant
Beautiful
Caressing
Deafening
Eccentric
Foment
Gracious
Hieratic
Iridescent
Jubilant
Kind
Luscious
Monday
Necessity
Omnipresent
Precious
Quantity
Radiant
Spontaneous
Titillating
Universal
Vital
Waking
Xanadu
Yearn
Zealous

~

With such doubtless perfection...
'contradiction'...

And effortless decadence...
'defiance'...

Why can't I have you..?
'compliance'...

I oddly enough laughed hard as I read this aloud, not because it is bad (its rather fun in my opinion) but for...the contradictions that people ARE...It made me think of few of my friends, I really like it for some reason, I realize it most likely wasn't written in humor, even so, it put a smile on my face, (especially 'Monday') good job :)
