December - Poem by Rizwan Saleem

Dark clouds and blizzards
Echoes of silence surrounds
Crystalline water hanging from branches
Evanesce my breath into frozen still air
Memories thaw inside spreading like warm molasses
Buried deep inside glazed eyes
Ever present for me to pull out and see
Reminisce I do now on what warmth used to be

Topic(s) of this poem: coldness, loneliness, winter

Form: Acrostic
