Decembers Summer Poem by Mike Conkey

Decembers Summer

December
late in my thoughts of action
yet i recreated a reaction
that i saw in her eyes
i she crushed him
from him crushing her
into a variable nightmare
are my eyes decieving me
is this wht i wanted
is this what i expected
ad i read the words
she wanted him
but i wanted her
so i fixated my eyes
fixated my mind
expressing each expression
in a stern sort of life lesson
with no going back
i brought on my own fate
but my heart couldnt wait
she pleade not to go
crying
summer
she had no other way of knowing
how pushed i felt
because i pushed her back
ran and wrote
these words cant fix the past
but they can help me get past
the memories that still last
how could she do this
i loved her when they left her
i sheltered her when they abandoned her
gave her faith when faith was lost
