Deep Cuts - Poem by Zach Weskett

You ever feel so shitty you just wanna give up?
You ever feel like you're the last dropp in the cup?
You feel so forgotten, so dead, so lost, you feel sick
Why do they always wait until you're down to kick?
Everything I'm feelin' just confuses the way I spit
Strong thick skin just refuses to fray or admit
That there's soft tender sh*t that just rots me out deep inside
Just loft me the respect I give you and sweep the hate aside
If everyone lived by peace and love there'd never be a war
If every gun or weapon was gotten rid of there'd be less humanity to restore
I believe that words shouldn't be used in strife or like a knife
Just cuttin' up your minds – but that's life
And imagine if no-one ever committed a sin
It should be a way of life, not confined to only religion
