Deep Inside My Heart, A Stranger Speaks Poem by Tulsi Shrestha

Deep Inside My Heart, A Stranger Speaks

Deep Inside My Heart, A Stranger Speaks
He dwells inside me as a denial of my true self
Each word that I spell, reflects his identity
That really suffocates me.
I feel my own voice coming from
A million miles away, distant place.
Why does it always sounds like
I am speaking on behalf of someone else
My opinions, ideas, thoughts
Even my feelings are not mine
None of them, belong to me.
Worthless to talk about its authentic
Where is unique, who is genuine?
You are blessed of Almighty Lord
Blessed with pair of eyes & ears
To see and listen beautiful world.
Have got your own excellent brain
To observe, perceive and interact
With not only world but also universe.
Revive confidence within you
To express your own feelings & ideas
Without any trace of fear and tension.
Speak aloud " It is Me and My Idea "
A True Self Inside Me, I Need To Restore.
You shouldn't permit any idealogy of
Third person to invade your freedom zone.
Let him stop oppressing & degrading us.
See the world and hear its voice
Through your own eyes and ears.
Be proud to develop your own vision
Claim your unique value and sublime features.
Then, no doubt, you will be capable of
Inhibiting and throwing away
The Stranger inside you.
