Dell-Boy Poem by Michele Hegarty

Dell-Boy

Rating: 5.0

My dog Respects me
Listens
Trusts
Conveys Thoughts.
Loves me, with the range of emotions at paws
Can find, on a beach of millions,
the one pebble I briefly held.
Careers headlong back,
if I'm suddenly out of sight,
His fears take minutes to ease.
We spend quality time,
he'll happily doze all day, on my bed,
now not allowed.
His warm and caring presence helped in a bad, bad time
When I meet a man like that,
the bed won't just be for sleeping on,
I'll eat my hat,
But be glad, Glad, GLAD!

The eternal optimist say when, not if!
