Denial Poem by Christina C Sunrise

Denial

We live in a world of denial
we pretend nothing is wrong we keep our smiles.
but nothing can hold back the pain,
from driving us insane.
We don’t have to admit how we truly feel,
because then we have to admit it is real.
For it is easier to hold feelings inside,
then have admitted it hurts and cry.
For our inner child is very sad,
and we don’t believe we can hold her tight
with both hands.
