Despair Poem by Joseph Enright

Despair

Rating: 3.0

Rejected, dejected, depressed,
A tightening pain in his chest
His whole life now in sad turmoil
No reason now for to smile

Policemen call to his gate,
Soon the court to decide his fate,
Abandoned by family and friends
Too late now to make amends

Leaving now his empty home,
In his car...he drives alone,
On trembling legs, unsteady gait,
He walks through fields,
Solemn faced,

Standing now on high cliff top,
Gazing down at sheer drop,
With heavy heart and tear stained eyes,
He whispers now his last goodbyes,
Angry too..he takes deep breath
Said 'F...k them all'
And then he leapt.
