Devastated Mother Poem by Dominic George

Devastated Mother

Months passed after you departed
To a war zone you've been stationed
Just in nine days they found you dead
Shot by a riffle in the head

My wounded heart is a trouble
I'm frantic and rushed to gamble
Stitched it with a broken needle
It's painful like hammered pebble

The nurse and doctor failed to stop
Hysteric heart where blood still drip
Give me a 'life' I need to sip
I'm becoming a corpse un-drop
