Devoted To Thee Poem by Barry Blander

Devoted To Thee

Our wistful dreams dissolve into morning dew
All I ever searched and longed for was You
And while the gentle day slept serene
The absolved stars high above wept
For their Virgin Queen
You took me by the hand
And brought me to a land
Of heather, rose, thrush,
Nightingale's whistle.
Our hearts were light
Like a feather which floated
Over the murmuring tide of the sea;
Paul's sanctified words,
Devoted to Thee, an epistle.
