Diamond Eyed Poem by Anthony Daniels

Diamond Eyed

Jealous he is of the way people stare at me.
Jealous of the way they look on in awe of my beauty.

He grows angry and locks me away covering my diamond eyes with a blindfold so no one else can see but him.

Selfishly controlling me isolated from my friends and family.
He no longer treats me like he used to.

Once caring and sweet appreciating me for my beauty inside and out now a monster that grows enraged due to his own insecurity.

So I wait and wait for someone to rescue me no longer wanting to be a diamond eyed prisoner.
