Disappearing Wings Poem by Prasad Natarajan

Disappearing Wings

Oh! where are your flying wings,
Gone with the sweet season of springs,
Mornings are so dull, without your tweet,
Oh! Your song, your tunes so sweet,

Oh! where are your flying wings,
Bitter winter ahead, that cold that stings,
Noons are so heavy, without your flutter,
Oh! Your beauty fades away in clutter,

Oh! where are your flying wings,
Like no music with broken strings,
Nights are quiet, wet with tear sounds,
Oh! haunting winter is here, making its rounds.
