One day she mustered
up all her courage,
to open the closed door
and peep in; where she
does not belong.
A look inside the
worldly wonders of wise

Every night she thought,
it was the monsters under
her bed: making thud noises
And hustled screaming.

But listening attentively
each night she got confirmed;
it was not from monsters
under her bed, but
from the neighboring room.

Her parents bedroom:
with lights turned off
and heavy breathing;
her pupils can figure out
a fatherly figure,
slapping her shapely mother.

She closed the door
quietly and went into
her room. Now fully
understanding her
momma's reason
behind the swollen cheeks.
That tooth fairy,
Who plucked her tooth
Everyday.
