Disconnection Poem by Lexy Sogl

Disconnection

Rating: 3.5

Disconnected from the world
Unable to see it’s vibrant colors
To taste the exotic
To feel the inexplicable

What if
You couldn’t even see
The lines of your own hands
You couldn’t feel
The wrinkles of your own face
You couldn’t hear
The tone of your own voice

Despite the covet
To see beyond the world
It’s more than that
How we feel about
Everything out there
Is another way
Of finding out
Who we are
In here
