Divine Gender Dysphoria Poem by Mary Champion

Divine Gender Dysphoria

Men made Gods and made them male,
and so begins our sorry tale.
For God has always felt inside
their inner truth must be denied.

They fear abuse from online trolls
so, hint to sympathetic souls,
about the doubts they've always had
and being forced to be a dad,

when all they wanted all their life
was being mother and a wife.
But should their confidantes speak out
their words won't carry any clout.

The outcry led by priests would be
the charge of grievous blasphemy.
God has got to be a bloke
he's not allowed to be that woke.

And so, God weeps their silent tears
‘cos they can't overcome our fears.
We won't admit we've got it wrong -
God's been a Woman all along.
