Does Not Want To Be Found Poem by Didith Marcelo

Does Not Want To Be Found

I have traveled the four corners of the world
Looking for my lover.
I was asked.

Do you see my lover?
Do you know where he went?
Have you heard his voice?

But their answer is the same.
'I do not know. Maybe He was hiding.'
That is the response of the ground, air, water, and fire.

Oh, I was disappointed,
I cannot find him.
Lest, they were right.
Maybe he was hiding.

It's hard to find the one who does not want to be found.
Better yet to take a rest, my soul urges me.
