Dogma Poem by Luke Gentry

Dogma

Rating: 5.0

Perpetual Absolution and truth
Prevails above the zeal of nihilism to proof
and fictitious piety that have created a close minded highbrow society
with no morals left of propriety
incomprehensible vastness that dances in a living water of infinity
Reflecting the brilliant shine of Christ's love and divinity
elucidating the old riddle in this enigmas mystery
steered by the oldest literature in our history
deriving from the Greek calligraphy
parables of stories written like poetry in red
beautiful scripture all from what my savior had said
Everyday more abandon it's principles and teaching
I don't think they understand the legions of demons there unleashing
people looking for an excuse to be evil and wicked
well here's a first class pass to the convicted
why, manipulating others for personal gain?
Does that feel better than doing the right thing?
maybe you should go in the fire with Cain.
What act of kindness you do this week? Give the crumbs from your plate while you ate the steak
I'd go thirsty to let you drink
I'd take your pain to let you ease
I'd lay down my life for the guy next to me to breath
I'd rather go out with what I believe wearing my heart up on my sleeve.
going the distance to make a difference a one man resistance
if you were god what would you do?
try to envision urself creating a world
how many times would you destroy it and start over and call it game over
how many times would you cause a catastrophic event without letting them repent

If you said none then I ask you then why are you destroying this one
