Dollhouse

Dollhouse
Barbie Ken
Thee ideal couple
their offspring
Thee ideal kids
But your on the outside looking in

A doll house
Allows you to replicate your idea of perfection
Playing dress up to be something else
A painted smile so no one thinks anything is wrong
But I'm on thee inside

looking in I see
A marriage with more codependency then love
A son with more anger then passion
A daughter with more secrets then trust
A mother with more scars then kisses
A father with more words then actions
Siblings with more hatred then admiration
This family has more flaws then perfection

Outside your seeing
A marriage full of passion
A son full of intelligence
A daughter with so many talents
A mother spoiled with gifts
A father with lots of money
Siblings with the closest bond
A family you admire
All true but

This is a doll house
That picture is painted for you who's on the outside looking in

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
We are all on the inside of our own whilst on the outside of others. It's an illusion your judgment was clouded by the facade.
