Dolphin Dance Poem by Cornelius Douglas

Dolphin Dance

A thousand friends came passing by and  cheered me on
my way
As homeward bound my ships course set
They played  then went away

Before they left they told me though
'Please don't be gone too long
for every day our numbers fade and soon we may be gone.'

And as you dance your dolphin waltz I too pray to an end
This senseless waste of all God's grace
Entrusted unto man
