Don'T Fight Back Poem by Emma Jane

Don'T Fight Back

Tears fall
They always fall
Slowly moving down my face
At the bottom of my chin
They fall
Dripping like rain
I try to wipe them off my face
My attempts not successful
I try to remove any proof
That I am sad
I try to pretend its not there
Erase whats real
I have learned
Sadness is hard to get rid of
If you ignore it long enough
Then it will plunge
For rock bottom
Taking you with it
You can struggle all you want
Try to fight back
Sadness is stronger
It always is
Ignoring the problem
Is not going to help
