Don'T Forget Poem by Joshua Wyatt

Don'T Forget

Rating: 5.0

Carrying myself on my back
He tells me that he can go on,
that we can go back there.
That we can make more memories.

I try not to listen to what he says,
but its hard to continue going forward.
I'm walking away from so much.
I'm leaving my old life behind me.

It was a life that i loved.
A life that i wanted to stay in.
But i realized it wasn't for me.
I was never meant to end up there.

Now i'm carrying myself away.
He's all covered in blood.
That life did hell to him.
He didn't deserve to go down like this.

He is getting weaker.
His voice is getting quieter
I barely make out his final words.....
'don't forget'

His body goes limp and he disappears.
I feel better, no longer weighed down.
Walk alone now.
I walk away but I'll never forget.
