Don'T Go Poem by Paul Christopher Robertson

Don'T Go

Don’t go, please don’t walk away
I can’t take it if you fade away, out of my life
Because I know you won’t really leave you’ll forever live in my heart
I can’t take it if you were to walk away
Don’t won’t your face to fade away

I can’t take the pain
I can’t take the strain
If you go, I have to let you know
I can’t contain my pain
You don’t know how much you mean to me
I can’t let you go without letting you know

I know you’ll never really go
You’ll always be in my heart
As I try to let you go my heartaches
I know no one will ever take you place
I’ve made mistakes; I’ve been a fool I know
But don’t go please stay with me

Look in my eyes I’m here for you
I’m not a tool a useless fool
Let me show you who I really am
Don’t go please
Let me tell you how I feel about you
If I let you go without letting you know
I know I won’t be able to contain my pain

I know you’ve seen lots of things
I know you’ve heard lots of things
But you haven’t seen or heard anything from me
Not the real me
I know were so close yet worlds apart
If I could say all the things I wanted to say
Would it convince you to stay with me

If you take my hand we will go anywhere you want to go
Please stay. Please stay with me
