Don'T Hold Back Poem by Chanel Williams

Don'T Hold Back

Things held in a deep hollow hole,
for no eyes to see, for no ears to hear

Held in the depths of the whole
incomplete, empty, and bare

Raging for escape

But is held back with doubts, confusion, and hate

The keeper knowing of the consequences

Leaves them trapped,
hidden deep within the trenches

Wanting to let them free,
with exposure

Hoping for destiny
Happiness, and closure

Hoping very much for the same conclusion

Not some fairytale story,
turning out to be an illusion

Feeling guilty for imprisoning them
for so long

Asking yourself
'What could possibly go wrong? '

This is for a friend, who has long gone
Wish there were more time in the world
to say what's neede to say
