Don'T Look Down Poem by Omolola Oladotun David

Don'T Look Down

Rating: 3.5

Am surrounded by Victory
Nevertheless with many wounds as Victor am called
Yet to look beyond I must
As same voice I hear say
'Don't look down'

My hopes before me I see like a plane
Dive suddenly into deep lake
With remains but a story of compensations
To look beyond I still must persist
As same voice I still hear say
'Don't look down'

Meeting had I with opportunities
Hopes of greatness had I acquired
With believes of certainty knocking always on my tiny door
One step ahead but more I retract
A question of many troubles I seem to face
Yet same voice I hear
'Don't look down'
