Don't Tie Me Poem by sehdev sharma

Don't Tie Me

You bought me with some bucks,
even before I could open my eyes.

I was unaware,
whether it was your,
passion for animals?
or your needed,
a security guard for your home?
or a showpiece,
to exhibit your status?

you say that,
I am a part of your family,
you play with me,
your kids pass time with me,
throughout the day,
and some hours in the late evening.

When night falls,
I see you enjoying your supper,
Chit chatting with your family,
and enjoying daily soaps.

The time after 11 pm,
I hate the most,
because you close the door,
keeping me outside,
alone,
on the mercy of harsh weather,
scary dark night,
danger from insects and snakes.

I yell,
you don't listen,
I cry,
you don't see my tears,
I gloom,
you don't read my emotions.

Am I really your pet?
